Fashion plays a big role in horror. Certain scene are most recognised by the outfits worn by the characters in the scene for example when people think of the prom scene in 1976's 'Carrie', they think of Carrie White standing in beautiful white dress, her tiara and the roses in her hands, covered in blood after a cruel prank involving a bucket of pig's blood.
The Grady Twins are perhaps the most memorable little girls in horror in terms of fashion. Their outfits are easily recognisable and to this day people still pay homage to them and recreate their outfits. In 2018, Jun Takahshi had his Undercover models walk out in pairs during one of his shows whilst ominous music played at Paris Fashion Week. The show ended with models wearing blue gowns similar to the ones the girls in the film wear, white socks, black shoes and hair slides. The only difference between the outfits being that one girl wore an outfit with red beads going down it which is supposed to resemble blood. I absolutely love this concept and this is definitely one of my all time favourite runway moments.
The girls from the 1996 movie 'The Craft' were the blueprint for occult fashion in the 90's. I still see pieces of their influence on gothic fashion trends to this day. They wore all black everything and plenty of accessories to compliment their outfits.
Paris Hilton made her horror debut in the 2005 movie 'House Of Wax' which is a remake of the 1933 movie 'Mystery Of The Wax Museum'. Her character Paige wears a blue Juicy Couture tracksuit in the film, and all I have to say about that is what else can we expect from the queen of all things early 2000's related? Fun fact: Paris Hilton's real life wax figure wears the exact same Juicy Couture tracksuit as her character in 'House Of Wax', how fitting!
Queen Akasha, the first vampire in existence and the queen of all vampires was hands down the most enchanting vampire to have ever lived. With her skin that reflected the moon and her Egyptian Goddess-like costume, there's no question why her narcissism level was so high. Despite how obviously intimidating she is, it goes without saying that her beauty is unmatched. Queen Akasha wore a silver breast plate that had blue gems of some sort on them, with a long black skirt adorned with a silver belt, and accessorised with a huge over the top crown, a necklace and bracelets. (Queen Of The Damned, 2002)

Yvonne De Carlo played the beautiful Lily Munster in the Sitcom ‘The Munsters’ (1964-1966). A perfect combination of glamorous and gothic, Lily wore beautiful gowns, was often seen wearing a bat necklace and had black hair with had dramatic white highlights.
